About SYP
We use the traditional arts to cultivate people's unique creative voice and remind them of the sacredness of their own existence through art.
SYP uses marbling and sacred geometry to create unique pieces of art, fabric art and slow fashion pieces that reject cultural norms of industrialisation and uniformity.
Through workshops in marbling and sacred geometry, we design a range of experiences from fun and playful paper marbling, to creative contemplative meditations with mandalas. Our events are designed to express our authentic voices, reignite our curiosity in creativity and find a sense of harmony with our own nature and the natural world around us.

My name is Laurel Rose
I created SYP to combine my experiences and self-expression into a body of work which will fruit visual joy and meaningful change.
Using my background as an art teacher in a London College, as well as my own personal practice and study of geometry with the London School of Traditional Arts, I have honed my particular craft and way of seeing the world. Having being inspired by a legacy of women in my family who work with textiles, I decided to transfer my craft to fabrics primarily and support a practice rooted in sustainability.
My vision is to cultivate SYP into a creative endeavour that has the capacity to train people in working within the creative industry - having worked within charities that help trafficked persons safely exit the sex work industry as well as support asylum seekers, I am particularly interested in bringing these creative therapies to marginalised members of society.
